Apart from heading out to the seas and the waters off the coast of Langkawi, you can also try out horse-back riding in the island. This is where you can enjoy a stroll on the back of a horse at the equestrian centre here. Whether you are an experience rider or would like to try out this recreation sport, there are a wide range of activities and lessons that you can bring home with you.

You can head out towards The Perdana Stables which is managed by Island Horses Sdn Bhd where they are will be able to accord you with a riding experience not found anywhere else.

The team of horsemen and horsewomen here are dedicated experts who will be able to guide you through the entire experience which will truly be unforgettable and totally unique.

The centre is registered with the Malaysian Equine Council while the FEI riders are registered  with the Equestrian Association of Malaysia.

Certified by international body

This means that you will be in good and certified hands when you are trying out horse riding at the centre. Horses were are Criollos which are from Argentina and are usually used for riding activities but they also have high-calibre and competition level horses which are used for events.

The Perdana Stable are where you can enjoy rides while it is also home to horses by the former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. You can enjoy rides for 15 or 30 minutes duration or go for a beach or jungle trek.

The former is best for the new rider who would have a guide to lead the horse on a rope while the latter is for the more experience who would like to see the island on a horse. There is also a Mountain Trail and riding hours start from 7am to 11am and 4 to 6 pm daily.
